yes, but that is just alberta.... microsoft, and mcdonalds are international corps

I beleive the population of Alberta is just under 3 million people... Think about that. And I was WAY off, it was a 1/4 billion profit in the firust quarter. Here:

EDMONTON (CBC) - The announcement that the insurance industry made a net profit of $2.63 billion last year stirred up more debate about auto insurance reforms at the legislature Tuesday.

"2003 was a very good year for the insurance industry,"

After all their payouts the insurance companies in Alberta were up 2.63 BILLION. On 3 million people.

here is something interesting i found out today, subway is bigger than McDonalds!!!!! apparently, subway has way more locations that McDs....who would've thought
