Once again someone mistaken what I said. I wasn't saying mph does not convert to KM. I just said I wasn't sure what it converts to! Instead of jumping down my throat, please think about what your saying guys.

Now why wouldn't mph convert into kph?

125 mph
= 201.2 kph
=55.88 metres/second
=183.3 feet/second

One complete blink takes about a third of a second and at that speed you're moving over 60 feet with your eyes closed...

Not that great an idea if those gaps are as small as they look...

Vector, you're a Democrat right? You're starting to sound like John Kerry.

This is what you said
You mixing km with mph though. I only hit about 125mph which I'm not sure converts to KM's
He didn't misunderstand you, you apparently wrote something you didn't mean, actually, it doesn't make much sense.

No, I did not go to college.

The problem with a post is, you can't really see the expression on my face as I wrote that post. Just a big grin and some info ...

Don't be so sensitive...

I will (and have) lane split on the freeway if I encounter a "leftist" (someone cruising along in the passing lane with no intent to pass the vehicle to their right). I have also done so a couple times just to go fast and blow off some steam. However, what you were hoping for was a bunch of forum high-fives and way-to-go's, and this isn't the forum for it. There are plenty of sport-bike forums full of like-minded individuals that will not only condone the video, but will actually call you a sissy for not being more aggressive. Unfortunately for you, you happened upon a group of riders who prefer to get their thrills while obeying the law (okay, so there are a few hypocrits around, but not many). So, ride as you wish, but don't post a video like that and not be prepared for criticism.

For the record, I did go to college. No degree though, I got bored and quit. A college degree is not required to notice obvious negligent riding.

You asked for an opinion. Here is mine: You have a flagrant disregard for the safety of others, and should not be permitted to ride at all until you learn to respect the law and at least to some degree the safety of others around you. There are countless scenarios which could have gone wrong in that video. It only takes one mistake, dude. It might not even have been your mistake either.

One hypethetical situation: Let's say one of those sportbikers was a brand new rider, and wanted to impress his buddies by smoking the guy on the cruiser. But he doesn't yet have the skill to dice it up around the traffic, and goes down trying to pass you. Wouldn't have happened if you hadn't been there, riding way too fast for conditions.

I'm no hypocrite. I freely admit that I exceed the speed limit, and enjoy every minute of it. I do so though only in very low-traffic areas, and never with a rider whose skill I don't know. And most deffinitely NEVER in heavy traffic!

Oh, I'm 31 and my riding experience consists of roughly 40K miles total so far. I'm male, and I've owned four bikes. I'm a soldier in the U.S. Army. (Just in case you wanted to stereotype me.)

If you want a bunch of immature groupies praising you for stupidity, keep posting vids like that, but I suggest posting them in another forum. This forum, as you should have noted by now, contains a somewhat more intelligent, and mature riding crowd. You know - the ones who keep riding for years to come, rather than winding up in a morgue.

I like it! Let me guess, your the type of guy that has to ask his wife to go out for a ride OR you have your bike stored at a friends house and you tell your wife that your going out food shopping but you actually go for a quick ride. If I'm wrong, don't forget to wear your dress the next time you go for a ride!
no, but thanks for the stereotype.

Now excuse me while I go videotape myself drunk driving so I can post it on http://www.madd.org/ and see what they think of it.
