I would let my friend dr_bar ride my bike, but that's it. Nobody else.

I let very few people ride my bike. Friends that I have seen ride and show a good sense of riding. All others I tell them that the paper has many ads of bikes for sale. Also stay off my bike or else I will climb in thier car and turn and pull on all the controls that it has. After it sinks in they appolagize and say that they now understand.

Right now, with my beginner bike, I've taught two people to ride. Both of whom would have paid for any damages without a question and both of whom didn't take it out of a parking lot. I didn't mind teaching friends and these weren't exactly, stop by and ask to borrow it for the night situtions. There are two people in this universe who could do that. I am of the opinion that every guy has one or two friends who could tell him his girlfriend just isnt any good for him and there would be no reprisal, you've pretty much gotta be in that category to ride the only girl in my life who...(comment removed by poster who discovered foresight...)

It is amazing how many people wouldn't dare go into other people's cars and touch everything, but they wouldn't think twice about doing it to someone's motorcycle. Some people have asked me about letting them sit on it, and I'm like... yea.... right

. These people have never been on a motorcycle, so I'm not going to give them mine to drop.

if you ask to ride my bike the answer is always no.
If i ask you if you'd like to try my bike then the choice is yours because i have already accepted the risk based on your skill and my relationship with you.
that being said, only one other person has ridden my bike and that was one of the instructors at the school i took my course at. I subsequently realised i needed more practice hehe

id let me dad ride my bike because lord knows he's lent me enough things over the years. Ill never be able to repay him fully so the least I can do is let him ride my bike. He does have his bike liccense, so that helps.
Aside from that, I have let a few people try my bikes out, but it realy depends. Usuallly since my bikes are only worth 2k or less I'm not so worried about them. If I had a brand new bike things miht be different.
