"Evolutionists are the only ones "writing things as they go along" in order to fit their world view. True believers see evolution for what it is...a grand lie that removes a Creator from the picture and opens doors for sinful behavior. "
Since the lord put you in charge of vetting all the true believers I guess all those clergymen who sign that letter in support of evolution in science classrooms don't qualify? Sound like you may be passing judgement... is that not a bad thing to do anymore or is that cool as long as you can yell louder than anyone else? So, what's the word - all those preachers hellbound or not?

Huh??? Dude, man deliberately bred the pomeranian to be small and extra furry so that it would be easy to carry and would attract fleas off their owners. You twisted my words around.cb360 wrote:Wait a minute. So, the rich people of yore carried around their dogs so the dogs started to get small? Well, that makes perfect sense. I thank our stronger ancestors for carrying around their horses and giving us the miracle of the shetland pony.
Belief in evolution leads to a non-belief in God which opens the door for secular reasoning which Hillary Clinton uses to justify abortion without consequence. It's all pretty simple, really, once you get it out of your head that people like me want to stone you or kill your buzz.cb360 wrote: Hilary Clinton? Abortion? Jesus dude, you are just a walking argument. What the hell do Hilary Clinton and abortion have to do with clergy supporting the teaching of science in schools?
As promised, Dave, I have some things for you to read. After looking it over I feel it's best to just give you a link to the material rather than trying to cut-and-paste it all here.scanevalexec wrote:So Zooman, please give me several scientific items that prove the creationist point of view.

The article on the Hydroplate theory is also a great read, if you're so inclined.

The Bible is abundantly clear regarding who will make it to heaven and who will not, CB. Since I have no way of knowing anyone's true heart, I cannot say who is "hellbound" and who isn't. The term "true believer" was, admittedly, not the best one to use as I did not mean to say what you're accusing me of. A better word would have been "literalists" or "fundamentalists", which these gutless clergymen clearly are not.cb360 wrote: Since the lord put you in charge of vetting all the true believers I guess all those clergymen who sign that letter in support of evolution in science classrooms don't qualify? What about 'em?cb360 wrote:And those learned preachers who answered the call and spent years in seminary studying the word - the ones that aren't standing up to The Word Of Zootech?

Just checking to make sure that these men who answered the call and dedicated their lives to spreading the gospel are headed for eternal damnation because they interpret the bible differently than you and see no conflict with the bible and evolution. I reckon I'll see them there. When I get there I'm gonna poke around and see if I can find the Buddhists I met in Thailand. Nice people the Thais.

I'd respond, but I'm choking on all the words you put in my mouth.cb360 wrote:Just checking to make sure that these men who answered the call and dedicated their lives to spreading the gospel are headed for eternal damnation because they interpret the bible differently than you and see no conflict with the bible and evolution. There is no part of the theroy of evolution that either supports or denies the existance of a creator.
There is no evidence to support the existance of a creator, there is also no evidence to deny the existance of one either.
The existance of god is a question of faith not science.
Science deals in Fact not truth. Truth is a concept that like the bible and certain parts of the theroy of evolution is SUBJECT TO INTERPRETATION.
A fact is something that has been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt.
If you ask 10 different ministers what the truth is you will likely get 10 different answers.
You ask 10 scientists what gravity is and you will get one answer.
The only people who know for sure if God exists or not cant tell us because they are dead. For those of us that believe in some kind of God (being fair to all religons here) we accept this on faith.
My primary opposition to putting Creationism/Intellegent Design in public school text books has nothing to do with evolution vs creation. It has to deal with the fact that the groups promoting this only want to promote christian creationism. There is no mention that other religons have different teachings concerning the creation of the universe.

Damn... I'd best get my "O Ring" to the gym again - I'm in no shape to go dancing naked around a fire
(j/k, I know you're serious about paganism and I respect that... but I also know you can take a joke better than most)
