After work I went to the hardware store. I bought light switches, the decor kind....some 2 way and some 3 way..... the plates for behind the switches, electrical sockets and backing plates, it sure adds up $$$.

Then I went to the government store to buy a dozen beer for Christmas day....for the company...I personally don't like beer. I'm glad I went today..it was busy enough this evening and it will only get worse. I can't imagine what Saturday will be like in the stores.
Oh wait..yes I can..chaos....I'll stay home and get some prep work done.

And now...tea time while I cook so me supper. I bought a piece of fresh wild sockeye to cook.

Nice - but is that going to cut in to your Multistrada funds????

yes unfortunately it does. However I would rather have a vehicle I know wont fall apart going down the road at any second than the previous one that I did not know how long the bed was going to still be attached to the truck.

Made coffee, exchanged gifts, made breakfast, had a nap....moved my car to a visitor parking space to save a space for my guests tonight....and now....going to get the turkey ready for the oven.

Have a happy Christmas day everyone. :)

Worked a 13hr shift which was fairly steady but not too stressful. Had suggested everyone contribute to a continental breakfast (croissants;pastries;cheese;jam fruit etc). which wullas well supported & enjoyed. We were able to pull crackers & watch a bit of TV so not too onerous.

Oh & we helped a few people out with emergency surgery!

Came home & was able to talk to my girlies, then exchanged gifts with my fella.
Didn't feel much like celebrating tho as still very shocked about mate dying on Friday.

Good to hear you all had fun :D

3 more long shifts then roll on Hogmanay

We had X-Mas dinner at our 2 neighbours... one at 2pm the other at 7pm! Plus, Andrea made homemade pumpkin pie (my fav) which you can't get in the UK (but when she was in Calgary brought over a tin of it). :D

No much in the way of gifts, but for me, Christmas is about being thankful for what you have, what has happened in the past year and all about being with friends and family.

It was a great Christmas so far!

:sleigh:
