People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

greetings from new member from Montana
First things first, my real name is Glenn Merideth, but most know me as Casper ( like the friendly ghost ) for reasons that would take so long to tell, that I would be labeled a windbag. Having grown up on a farm, I've been riding otorcycles since I was 8 or 9. My first road bike was an early 80's model Yamaha 400 twin which I rode for 4 years. then my kids came along and bikes went away till 1998, when I aquired a rather tired Honda CB750-4, which I used for 4 summers when I could get t to run. I finaly retired it in the parts section of the local paper. After no bike again till April 30 2008 I purchased a brand new 2007 Honda Shadow VLX600 Deluxe, that with the windshield, saddle bags, and pinstripe kit ran me $5800 out the door. as of November 20th the odometer now reads 12500 miles plus a few. So it can be said that I LOVE Hondas' lil' Sportster clone.
I've spent the past few days removing half of the parts from the frame so I can paint the fins and other engine parts that aren't chromed Matt Black, because to me, a V-Twin engine just doesn't look right without black coling fins (even though it's liquid cooled, honda dressed the engine in fins for looks) After I'm done a good friend of mine, who just happens to be employed as a mechanic for the local Honda dealership, is going to soup up the engine way more than I did with straight pipes and rejet, so I can make a touring machine out of it for next summer. I welcome emails from anyone who wants to talk about bikes, or places to ride anytime.
I promise that after this introductory post, the rest wil be a lot shorter!!![/i][/b]
