Today I cleaned the bugs off my bike (from last week's ride) and polished the chrome and cleaned and polished the windshield...
While I was down cleaning and polishing, I had look around at hoses and clamps etc...all is well....
And...checked the tire pressure...it was down a bit..so got out the bicycle pump and pumped up the tires. I'm meeting a few people for a ride tomorrow so the bike needs to be ready today....I won't have time in the morning.

Played around in the rain. Had an attractive girl on the back of my bike a couple of times today. Took a long ride with some friends. And played around with a friend in his Mustang ('90 notch with a built 5.0). He's only slightly slower than me, and he still had nitrous in reserve...

Had a long lie-in. Avoided London, the BBC, radio, newspapers and all contact with the outside world on this day of the Queen's Jubilee. On occasions like this the BBC has a kind of fit and loses its collective mind. (Integrity, it never had). The gushfest is unremitting. The sentimentality is rife. The romantic ickyness is like goo that sticks all over you the moment you come into contact with it. Yesterday, the roads down to Dover were blocked for miles as tens of thousands of Brits ran screaming for the continent to get away from it all. Massed ranks of republicans gathered on the banks of the Thames near London Bridge (as though that would make any difference.)
Despite the drizzle, I am happily saddling up the Daytona to go down to Bosham on the south coast for a friend's 70th birthday celebrations - avoiding London like the plague.
