My insurance for my bike has expired so I won't be able to ride it until I get it insured again. I will do that at the time I go for new tires.
In the meantime, here are a few looks at Vancouver this week and a few weeks ago. We do occasionally get some clear sunny days in the winter. They are so spectacular they almost make you forget about the hundred ugly days before the one good day.
Down by the Port of Vancouver. You can see the trade and Convention Centre sails, the cruise ship dock, the heliport, the seabus, and the north shore mountains. This one was a few weeks ago.
Here is a helicopter just taking off from the heliport.
This is the seabus. It is part of the transit system. You board the bus from Waterfront station and it crosses the harbour to Lonsdale Quay in North Vancouver. It's a very popular tourist thing to do as well as a commuter thing to do. They sail every 15 minutes in peak times.
Here we are from yesterday. I was at Kitsilano beach. In the summer Kits is littered with oiled, tanned and buff (an not so buff) bodies. There is also a very active beach volleyball organization.
If I knew how to stitch the pics I could make a panorama. My camera isn't wide angle enough to show the whole outline of the mountains.
