Well blenders are better any day than guns (so long as they are not plugged in, that is.) They're not quite as phallic as guns so maybe they're never going to take off among hormonally driven redneck communities. Shame really!
But maybe the British state should be thinking about arming its police with blenders. If cops in this country can be expected to ride bicycles and drive minis, then they can carry blenders without ruining their image. You could fit a nice little holster on one of their belts and...
