You're lucky, we don't have many guns here, so you'd probably only need to duck, till outside blender range

Hi Nibblet

Blenders? Oh, you remember that, huh!

Well blenders are better any day than guns (so long as they are not plugged in, that is.) They're not quite as phallic as guns so maybe they're never going to take off among hormonally driven redneck communities. Shame really!

But maybe the British state should be thinking about arming its police with blenders. If cops in this country can be expected to ride bicycles and drive minis, then they can carry blenders without ruining their image. You could fit a nice little holster on one of their belts and...

Yeah! Yeah. I know.

The last two paragraphs in your story reminded me a bit of a book called Siddhartha by Herman Hesse.

I'll have to agree with everyone about your writing skills too. I look forward to your blog entries.
Now thats enough ego inflation get back to work and write us another entry

OK, OK Mr Stark. You've got your wish. I'll get back to it. It's only missing the last three days and I've written a lot of it up already. I've just got to find where in the hell I've filed it. :D

Damn! You caught me out there fg. I was a great fan of Hesse's novels in my twenties. (Back in the early 1970s you had to be. It was compulsory. :D) Most people at that time raved about "Steppenwolf" but I was never able to identify with its hero and couldn't get on with it. "Narzis and Goldmund" though, was my favourite book for years. It's about how we can heal the deep wound that culture has made in our human psyches - the split between the heart and the mind, the wild and the rational. I see riding a motorcycle in precisely those terms and it's maybe one of the reasons I love it so much.

"Siddhartha" was based on the life and teachings of the Buddha. Although I'm not in the slightest bit religious, the way I think about the world has been deeply influenced by Buddhist philosophy and practice. Hesse describes his own version of that in the last pages of "Siddhartha."

So, you're absolutely right. The similarity is no coincidence.

LOL! That's OK Mr Stark. You're allowed to nag (and flattery will get you everywhere!)

I'm working on it.

It's coming along.

Sorry I've been busy for a while, only just got back on

How could I forget the blender, it just kinda fitted your personality perfectly some how.
I just know I'm going to have dreams of policemen chasing & lobbing blenders at me now, the comic notion is just stuck in my head.

If I had any video editing skills/software I'd probably be amending world war clips with blender ammunition for sheer amusement
