This could cause untold grief. Deceit is not an approved behavior, and if the girlfriend is in on it, too, it's worse. You will eventually have to make a choice: ride and be your own person, or be a puppet of the gf's family, behaving "properly."
I agree...it's a difficult situation to maneuver in. This is the same girlfriend who was very opposed to me learning to ride last year, but has been very supportive on the whole. Her enthusiasm has yet to reach my own, and any desire to ride as a passenger is non-existent. I'm hoping over the course of the next month, as we see more motorcyclists on the road, I'll be able to introduce the idea to her family

Though if somehow before then the lie comes out, there will be much

I HATE IT WHEN....
Well I don't HATE it, it's more funny really....
....When people who have NEVER owned a Harley....Bash Harley's in Posts. How can they be 'experts' with no experience owning one?
I've had many brands of bikes & have found Harley's to be Fantastic in ALL conditions I have ridden in. These include the City, Mountains, Twisties, Hot weather, Cold weather & Dirt roads.
But if you people have to 'Knock' the HOG....be my guest as I love laughing at your Writings!

I'm not gonna tell you to cut and run, although that
is one option. However, for a longer-lasting, peaceful relationship honesty is still the best policy. I'd begin letting everyone know how important riding is to you, if indeed it really is. Let them deal with it... at least if everything blows up, you can still go for a ride!

That's what everyone says, till they learn how to ride proper.
Ooohh, that was low-blow territory, wasn't it? I'm glad you know I'm just yanking your chain. I seen a picture of you with a Kat on the rear wheel, so I know you really rode once.....

I hate it when drivers cheat in traffic. Like when they know the right lane turns right only and the left lane is the only one that goes through the intersection but some a--hole takes the right lane and then cuts in front of you at the last second before the intersection.

I hate it when....
Drivers STOP at Round-a-bouts when theres NO traffic to give way to....AT ALL!!
If I can....I go around them at the intersection, for some reason they don't like it when I do that! (Works best on the 1200 Sporty!)
