every once in a while when I'm coming up on a stop I'll release the bars so I can stretch. My bike rapidly deccelerates under engine braking, so it's not something I do if there's anyone behind me. I've gone several miles on mountain roads with one hand - for the same reason as already mentioned - I had to thaw at least one of my hands out.

We could use the wheelie-all-the-time method here as well, just get a unicycle, you can then do that victory pose all the time because you never use your hands!
