That appears to be a great solution. I'll look into it, thanks!

Well, I received all my goodies from Aerostich today. My initial thoughts:
The LED "Stopper" is pretty freakin' bright! I hooked it up to my computer, being the closest source of 12V power and was very impressed. I have no doubt this will get some people's attention.
The first aid kit is jam-packed with all kinds of medical doohickies and whatchamajiggers. Seriously though, it's organized, has lots of documentation on what to do for various injuries, a CPR guide, gloves, shears, etc... If nothing else, the karmic value of having this along for rides will be a plus. I guess I'd better put on those saddlebags I have and put it inside!

Hey, what kind of saddlebags did you end up picking up?
And you'll have to post piccies of your new brake light.

My parents bought me those Joe Rocket ones you have. I couldn't think of a better birthday present.
As for the brake light, a picture might be a while in the making. I have to send my camera off for repairs tomorrow. It fell victim to the lens protector not fully retracting issue the model is known for.
Read the Amazon.com comments on it and take pity on me.

Oh man, the Katana just gets better and better.
After much hemming, hawing and thinking, I double check my cam timing to see why it doesn't catch. Sure enough, the intake cam is off by a tooth. Apparently caused by slack in the cam chain, due to the tensioner not being in place as the cams were reinstalled. My repair manual didn't mention this, but another one I have did. Of course, I have to tear it all apart again.
I pull a cam bearing retainer off and the bolt snaps inside my new head. Great. I drill into it, try to grab it with an EZ-out and promptly miss the EZ-out and find the camshaft.
Off to ebay I go to find another camshaft. And off to the garage I go to try to extract that gorram bolt.
So frustrated with this bike.

Garr. I expected some kinks in moving my OS from my 160 GB IDE drive to my 250 GB SATA drive, but wow, it was a huge pain in the butt. There was a lot of copying that should have worked but didn't and some copying that did work that shouldn't. Crazy, silly stuff!
On the bright side, I've got a bunch of free space on my main drive! 104 free gigs of storage to fill, woohoo!
The main reason for moving all my junk over was to install Windows on the old 160 GB drive to play some games I've been missing out on. Games like Half-Life 2 and whatever else the hip kids play. I just code for a living, not play games.

Half-life 2 is a good one.
Just got Red Orchestra the other day myself...... awesome game.
No real single player though.
I keep my windows partition on an old slower drive, IDE 40 gig, Then just install games/apps to the sata string. And switch my page file for windows to the faster drive, or when im running 3 or more drives on different chains, i put smaller pagefile allotments on each one.
Use a 250gb usb drive for movies/mass storage. been thinking about slapping another sata 250 or more in there myself. Course that means a new power supply. ick.
I suspect i'm starting to bounce off the top end of my motherboard though. Hrmmmm time for a quad core board/chip with pci express and a
ramsan
