..Oh, I don't know about that...... I've accidentally given myself a zap off my german shepherd's e-collar at 80%. It was like the wet finger in the electric socket. Wife heard me yelp all the way across the house, asked me what was wrong....... then spent the next 10 minutes laughing her a$$ off at me.

I used to chase my cousins around with the dogs zapper collar and pin them down just outside the fence line...and poke them with it...

Both DH and I tried on Chester's remote collar to feel it before we put it on him for training. There were 10 settings, #2 was zzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZ!!!

I didn't say I didn't yelp with the dog collar

I think my dogs had the BEST laugh with that one!

PS - My black Lab (Jake) checks that fence everyday - it must be on his "job checklist" - the fence has been down a few time with blown fuse, etc. and the other two don't ever notice. Jake, he's out like a shot the moment that goes...

Maybe he'd want to stick around more if you didn't strap shock collars to him.

Hey! Those dogs have the whole 5 acres. We have a HUGE front lawn with nice green grass, a swamp for swimming, trees for shade, bunnies to chase. Two square meals...large biscuits...fresh water. They go for rides, walks... They are allowed on the furniture (if they are clean, and don't try to dig at it). It's like Dog Camp!

Don't make me feel bad for keeping them on the property so they don't get run over

the saddest thing I could possibly imagine!

DoofyDawg (not his real name, but you get the idea...) wears the most powerful DogTra collar made. His play drives are so incredibly high I have to use thing at high values sometimes to burn through his doofyness. Values that would leave me twitching on the ground. With his massive neck structure, long hair (he's a plush-coat), and play focus he just doesn't react to the shock.

Prior to the DogTra, he was on headed for police training - they were interested in a high-drive dog - he was totally unsuitable as a pet. The DogTra allowed us to do enough training to bond him - once you bond a German Shepherd, they don't let go. Now we have a 110 lb "roadblock" in front of our shins every time we turn around!
