Also wouldnt the added height make the riding style less aggressive than someone of a smaller stature? Which wouldnt make riding such of a pain in the back (get it) haha

If anything it makes it worse since you are further over the handlebars and thus your arms have a steeper angle to the handlebars. The tendency is to put more weight on the arms which is not only bad technique but leads to sore arms, backs, wrists and hands.

Alright I was just wondering because most of the "bikers" Ive seen have been pretty much stretched out over the gas tank leaning foward over the bike. And I didnt know if being taller would put you in a more "Upright" positon. Cant be worse than riding a pocket rocket :P But I gotta fix my truck an Im going to see if someone with a 90s model GSX-R will trade me for me to learn on. That way I can drop in an not worry about the $1000 fairings I just scratched.

Last I checked a bf wang on the back your car doesn't add hp to the engine.

The has been one of the most entertaining threads I've read in a long time.

Rest in peace dude...

Wow. This isn't supposed to be a "discussion thread." Considering locking it for a bit... might move the last couple pages, if I can figure out how...

It would appear that gixxerkid didn't actually READ the first post.

Then perhaps you should have locked it right from the start, as a topic like this is bound to generate a lot of discussion. Personally, I feel that the TMW regulars have done a good job of countering GixxerKid's comments and anyone reading this thread who has half an ounce of intelligence will understand these voices of reason.

As for those who don't, well, that's how statistics are created.

With the points you've argued thus far, it sounded like you were being pretty serious to me.

educate me. the kids statement doesn't make since to me. i would think that someone who rides a 600 on a regular basis wouldn't have a hard time on a 750. i got these numbers off the gixxer forum... i know their just numbers but...

cycle world test
2007 gsxr 600- 0-60 in 3.0 sec, 1/4 mile- 10.56sec. top speed 155mph
2007 gsxr 750- 0-60 in 2.9 sec, 1/4 mile- 10.27sec. top speed 168mph

and the hp numbers were something like 127 for the 600 and 149 for the 750. i'm sure the bike can be more fun than the 600, but scary to someone who rides a 600 on a regular basis?

i have no experience on either. educate me.
