Do you happen to know what kind of insect that is?

Eh, I guess I'll contribute. All taken with my Canon A590IS. I really need to get a tripod and the filter attachment/fliters for the camera (well, want, not need) but other things need to come first.

Note similarities of the sky in these two shots  :

It took way too long to chop the second picture, but was a good learning experience in my mind. Even if it's not the cleanest.

Went out and took a few shots of the fireworks..... We were in a cemetery, so photo experimentation was inevitable. All the photos were taken between 11pm and 12:30 am, amazing how much light you can capture....

Their Dad and master

Is across the sea

In a strange land

Fighting for you and me

They keep their vigil

So he may know

That their love is with him

Wherever he goes.

Their Dad and master

Is a soldier in the desert

They keep the faith

That he won’t get hurt.

They wait for the day

The Affgghhans are free

So he can come home

to his family.

A few shots from my new (old) toy, a Minolta XG-1 SLR. First shot is with Fuji 400 speed film, forget which stock though. The rest are shot with Kodak BW400CN film stock.

2009 WRX, shot with Minolta Rokkor-X 45mm f/2 lens

Mom's dog, shot with JCPENNY 135mm f/2.8 lens

2002 WRX, full V8 JDM driveline swap, shot with Vivitar 28mm f/2.5 lens

Sign, I think this was another shot with the 135mm, i forget though

These are some of my favorite shots with film so far, though I've only developed three rolls as of yet. I've got the 4th just about ready to get done. Its amazing how nice of a picture this SLR takes compared to my point and shoot digital camera, I'm "procreating" hooked.
