Are any of you people from Northern California interested in meeting up sometime? I live in Elk Grove, CA, just south of Sacramento. I see there are a number of newer members from the Sacramento and surrounding areas. If there seems to be enough interest, I would be willing to setup something for us to get together.

another great rode from the sacramento area. From I5 @ Woodland....exit off of the I5 west on Main street...it turns into hwy 16 west...take to hwy 20 west towards clear lake....
I did this from Sacramento to Ukiah, Ca and back...what a great ride.....

How many miles is it to clear lake?
EDIT: Never mind, I made a path on google earth. To Clear lake and back from my house is about 200 miles.
I also tracked a ride up Salmon Falls Rd to 49, then take 49 to Placerville. Have lunch in Placerville and get on 193 north, and take 193 back to 49. Take 49 back to 80, and 80 back to my friend's house. This is about 120 miles.

Actually, I'm still in central CA, San Luis Obispo, going to Cal Poly. I don't go back to Sac until June. But here on the central coast is Highway 58, which I have yet to travel but hear is a great ride. And of course, the PCH.

Anyone ever ridden Iowa Hill road, Mosquito Ridge Road, or Foresthill road? They're up near Tahoe off HWY 80. I want to know if they are fun/rideable?

Iowa Hill, Mosquito Ridge, Foresthill...all three the stuff riders dream of. I know this is late, but if you haven't already figured it out - go. You won't be disappointed. I promise.
Oh, by the way - I'm a former 22-year resident of CA, and fondly remember riding the CA asphalt.

Right now I'm currently stuck in Virginia due to my job, I'll be visiting back in Southern California where I'm originally from hopefully in December and plan on doing some riding there even though it will be winter. But I live in Rancho Cucamonga and found it kicks "O Ring" to ride there.

I'm 2 hrs outside sacramento up 99. Hwy 49 is fun, but where it really starts is hwy 20. Anyone do a Tahoe run?
