Thanks Kal, post what you can. Although we are not restricted the way you are, we are in other ways like being legally insured. Its still insane, anyone over 18 can sit a theory test and then get rich daddy or mommy to buy them an R1 without ever having ridden a bike. As long as they have that little piece of paper they can ride it out of the showroom. If they pay cash, they do not even have to insure it. I am not suprised in the least as to the original post. It happens here all the time, especially rich daddy that buys the kid a bike and then thinks HE can ride it. :frusty:

I've been practicing on a XV1100 virago. All my riding so far has been in a highschool parking lot under the supervision of my son-in-law. I am working on the MSF drills. I have not ridden since the '60's. I am 66 now. I have the XV1100 because it was available, pristine and very well priced. The parking lot is huge giving me ample room to practice before I take the MSF course. I am 6 ft and 225 lbs and the bike seems to fit very well. However for now the practicing will have to end until I get over a knee replacement. Hope to resume before too long.
