Grrrrrr, I wimped out, and wish I hadn't.

All the news stations were forecasting flurries in the afternoon today, so like the putz I am I decided I would rather take the bus then ride the bike in to work. Poor thing sat in the garage again. Quitting time rolls around and sure enough there were a couple of flakes coming down (read 5) in fact I thought for a second that it may have been dirt on the windows.

By the time I'd gotten all my stuff together, the sun had broken through and there was no snow. Walking home I watched the roads like a hawk, there are a couple of wet spots, but nothing major.

I'm hoping and praying it doesn't snow overnight. If so I'm biking in tomorrow. Get to go from the quiet polite guy who reads a lot, to being a biker, AWWWW HELLL YEAH!
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

I'm just sayin', that's all...
Oregon is one of my favorite states to visit... it is beautiful, wonderful climate, not so rainy as Washington State, and I have always had a good time when travelling there. Oh, and it isn't California! (I used to live in SoCal...never again).

is florida really that much better than so cal?

Lets see, I rode to work sunday, yesterday, and today, and will ride in tomorrow too. Wimped out monday but shouldn't have (rode home in a windstorm sunday). Rode home in a light rain shower today but it was still hovering around 60.

supposed to be in the upper 50s/low 60s all weekend here

You got that right!!! I spent two years in Sacramental. That was enough California to last me a lifetime.

Dear diary,

Today i went for a ride. It made me very happy.

PS - Florida is waaayyy to flat for my tastes. Combine that with the high amount of q-tips driving there... No thanks.

Roger that. I lived there for just less than two years. The only cool thing was being an hour from the mountains and an hour from the ocean. I like the vacation part of living there, but the "living there" part sucked.

The humidity and the Q-Tips are enough to make me not even want to visit there. My last visit to FL was in june of '02, all I can say is you will never catch me in florida in june ever again. Made the worst 90/90 day back when I lived in CT look decidedly cool.

Life would be perfect if you took So Cals weather and dumped it onto wyoming and colorado. Colorado is already considered sportbike heaven if you dont mind not being able to ride year round, lots of kick "O Ring" riding roads up in the mountains.

heard lots of good things about oregon. My employer is opening up a facility about 80 miles inland from portland, might have to consider a transfer

Dear Diary,

Today I contemplated the horrible searing death I intend to inflict upon Geoff.
