Woof, what didn't we do?
Took the kids out to see "Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters" at the second run theatre, then bought pumpkins on the way home and came home to carve them into Jack-O-Lanterns. Then went back out and hit a handful of Halloween stores to put together Carrie's costume for her work party -- she's Cruella DeVil this year. Red pumps and a fright wig anyone? I'm a lucky man...
Then lunch at the wings place and back home for our modest little Halloween party we do every year, quite early this year on account of our ex's get the kids for the real holiday this year. Brain juice, (sherbert ice cream and Sprite), bobbing for apples, then turned out all the lights and listened to the rainstorm CD while playing Mexican Trains by candlelight. Good times.
Kids are in bed now, so it's "People Under the Stairs" and a tot of rum...

Saw this on the news today, not nice at all...
http://globalnews.ca/news/912833/sea-to ... -accident/
To call this a motorcycle accident sounds like blame is being placed that way, although I don't believe it really is being placed there, just that the headline doesn't do the rider justice...
Sadly I think I met the rider in question he was from West Vancouver and rode a Valkyrie.

Yes, on purpose.
I was spending too much time goofing around and not getting anything else done.
I was also tired of the people posting to praise the lord, and like this page so some kid's mom will quit smoking, or people who had nothing to share except what they had for lunch or people who only ever posted their next ailment...etc. etc....
It wasn't fun anymore.
So....instead of surfing the net this morning I did some tidying, listened to some music and started reading a book.

Cooking a vegie Indian dinner tonight. Featuring such hits as veg curry, chana masala, basmati rice, nan bread and carrot & raisin pudding.
Sorry to hear that winter is arriving in Canada! Well, if it's any consultation I had to switch from my hot summer riding gear to my "Canadian gear" as it's getting around 24°C now with about 15°C in the mornings.
This morning was.... closing locked house door...then....ah, do you have key? ....no and neither do I, better call the locksmith $85 moment.

Friday night I went and saw Enders Game. I was a bit disappointed, probably because it's such a good book, and I expected more. Jury's still out...
Saturday I spent the whole day at my niece's home, celebrating her daughter's first birthday. Then we watched the Canucks beat the cr@p out of Toronto... WHOOHOO!!!!

Today started in the Best Western Holiday Hills in Coalville, Utah. We stay at that hotel frequently because of it's proximity to Park City, but this trip it was just for the pool. Our boy got injured pretty bad at the end of July, and his wound only healed up enough to swim again about a week ago, so it was sorta a special occasion.
For the rest of the night though, it looks like we'll be going out to see Ender's Game! Didn't even realize it was out yet, thanx for the heads up Doc! (-: I'm sure the movie can't even begin to do justice to the book, but at least they finally made it. I'm excited to see it, and I sure hope it does well enough with us fans to encourage them to make at least Speaker too. That one would totally translate better.

I'm a little leery of the movie. I don't see how they can do it justice. But who knows. If they can make lord of the rings work.
Mike, time to perhaps hide a key outside somewhere? Those little car magnet key cases are wonderful for that.
