That's a nice piece of wood. Well finished. I can just imagine the smoothness.

What is it for?

Just a band sawn box /Jewelry box for a gift this season. The drawer
is about 4 by 2.5 deep inside with 2 compartments. I'll do at least 4
or 5 more for the Wife's gift list of Cherry with an accent wood for
the handle. For this one I used some black walnut from my scrap bin.
I can do this work sitting down.

Gonna bring my sick note to work. Been off work since august due to a hernia and an abscess. Getting bored.

I cleaned the gutters on a double garage.

I must have gone up and down the ladder over 40 times. And handling the hose in the angle I had it...phew... what a work out. My arms are feeling muscles that haven't been very active for a while.

Starting week six as a non-smoker, no longer wish to brutally murder and dismember people, however if you have someone you need beaten within an inch of their life............:D

Good luck to you on the non-smoking thing, ceemes. Not an easy thing to do; I quit cold turkey back in Jan 96 and still get the occasional urge to this day. Anyway, you're taking a major step towards improving your longevity and kudos to you for doing so.

As for me, I made an executive decision to close the bike shop today and take my first Saturday off since... well, it's been awhile. Heading out shortly with my lovely wife to do a bit of grocery shopping, then we're off to the winery to bottle our latest batch of libations. This time it's a Valpolicella, I'm looking forward to it.

Congratulations.

Now if we meet at a motorcycle event, I won't have to stand 3 meters away from.

Way to go Ceemes! Carrie and I just hit one year back on Halloween, and I can tell you it gets easier. Hang in there, it is SO worth it.
Are you using any sort of nicotine replacement products? Patches, gum, whatever? Or just quitting cold?
