Blues, sorry about what happened. Glad to hear YOU are okay. Don't worry and focus on getting better. And as Shorts said, try not to dwell on the What Ifs - those can drive anybody totally nuts. Mend up and take care of yourself okay? Cuz I can't send em to you - flowers

Ya right,
there are only 2 kinds of bikes: It's a Ninja... look that one's a Harley... oh there's a Ninja... Harley...Ninja...

I quit thinking about the what if's....it was more like thinking about all the coincidences that came together.....KarateChick wrote:Blues, sorry about what happened. Glad to hear YOU are okay. When I wrote that I was still in shock probably. I am calm now and my hands quit shaking and I was able to eat supper.
What a waste of a good hair day.

Wow, I just caught up on your blog -- glad to hear you're about 96% okay. Have you thought about upgrading your bike with the insurance settlement? You HAVE been talking about all the problems...
I know about all those coincidences -- I firmly believe I'm still alive because I gave my girlfriend (now wife) one more kiss way back when...
...I dropped her off at her job somewhere around midnight (this is back in 1994 or so), and I took an extra 10 seconds or so to lean out the car window for a kiss, rather than just wave. Then I took off. I was out on the road, heading up a hill, and over the crest of a hill came a car and another car passing him, fully in my lane. I saw them, he got back in his lane and swish they were past -- just that fast. If I'd have been there 10 seconds sooner, I'd have been at the crest of that hill and been hit head-on by the guy going 70 or 80. Sheer coincidence that I wasn't.
Get better, keep riding!

Anytime you need a "personal medic" (wink wink), just give me a call. Of course, it would probably take me a week to get there....
Try to remember to take deep breaths despite the pain. It'll cut down on the chances of pneumonia. Alternate ice and heat in 20 minute intervals for swelling and pain. Get some good drugs from your MD.
Hope you get everything back in working order soon (Both you and the bike!).
Stay Safe(r) Out There!
