Re: What did you do today...
I told the bank I didn't need their ten thousand dollar line of credit.
It was the bank's idea to get a line of credit....I got them all the paperwork they needed....and then this morning they told me they also wanted a year's worth of minutes and the AGM minutes...
I told them to forget it. I said they already have my whole financial history and that the minutes from the strata meetings have no bearing on my financial responsibility. I already have a $20,000 line of credit at another bank...that is at zero, but available if I need it. When I told the person at the bank, to forget it...she tried hard to convince me that it was for audit purposes....I said I didn't care. I said for a paltry $10,000 line of credit, I wasn't willing to dig through all the minutes and that I didn't need their line of credit anyway. The other thing is that as part of the mortgage with them is that they get mailed a copy of the AGM minutes anyway.
She backed off and said she'd look and email me next week.
I have a credit card with a higher limit for crying out loud. I have no debts at all except for my mortgage.
The whole purpose of a line of credit is in case of an emergency. Sometimes I wonder about the people who come up with these things.

I'm getting my second house plumbed so my daughter and grandchildren can move in and later I'll toil for 8 hours at my job.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

Re: What did you do today...
We OFFICIALLY kicked off the Summer of 6000 Miles this weekend, took the bikes on a 300 mile jaunt to Wendover and back.
It was only supposed to be an overnight trip, leave Saturday and come back Sunday, but some time Saturday night the weather forecast changed. Sunday morning was supposed to be "61 Degrees, partly cloudy with scattered showers". Sounds like prime riding weather right? Well, what awaited us Sunday morning was "Severe thunderstorms, mid-altitude snow showers and 35mph winds". Crosswinds too, NNW along our eastern route. So we swallowed our pride and stayed another night, and instead rode home this morning in a calm but brisk 35 degrees that warmed up to about 45 by the time we got home. We're glad to be in. (-:

Re: What did you do today...
My bike has been sitting idle since winter began in mid October. It lives outside under a car port and bike cover. Since I had not put a charger on it when stored I thought I would try and start it today, and if, as likely, it would not start, then I would put a trickle charger on. Lo and behold it started. Happy day. I let it run to its operating temperature and give the battery a chance to recharge. Did not go for a ride as my driveway still has ice and snow on it. The main streets are bare, however, where there is shade there is likely to be ice. So there you go, not only is it Friday but the bike started after its long very cold winter hibernation. Yahoo!!!

I did some garden cleanup. Raked out moss, pruned some dead ferns, and just enjoyed being out in the sunshine.
Oh....and I watched a few more episodes of The Shield. And I thought our local politicians were corrupt.

I got my sewing machine out and repaired the things in the mending pile. It's like having new clothes again.

The kids let us sleep in this morning, that's a special kind of developmental milestone right there. (-: Got up and made breakfast, now having a couple cups of java before making bird-rounds. Gloomy overcast day outside with some rain, but all next week supposed to be riding weather. And new gear on the way - jacket, boots, helmet. Looking forward to it.
