I got x-rays today. In a couple of day we'll know for sure just what damage.
If I sit still it's not too bad. Any movement and it pains me. I guess my gear paid off because the rest of me is ok except for some stiffness which will ease.
I just took a pill....soon it will take the edge off the hurt.

A plane would be quicker.

Try to remember to take deep breaths despite the pain. It'll cut down on the chances of pneumonia. Alternate ice and heat in 20 minute intervals for swelling and pain.

I have been icing ( I can add heat) and I take some deep breaths every time I make it hurt by moving. Actually I have been getting in some breathing....maybe not enough though.....I will try to do a bit more.

Get some good drugs from your MD.

I have T-3 that I take so I can sleep. During the day Motrin.

Hope you get everything back in working order soon (Both you and the bike!).

Stay Safe(r) Out There!

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. This probably won’t make you feel better, but: You have just moved another step up the ladder in your riding. I’m sure you have heard the saying: “There are two kinds on motorcyclists, them that have been down and those that are going down.”

Now that’s out of the way, go and enjoy yourself. My guess is you will be just fine by the time your planned trip comes around. I’m thinking you will really want to be on your own ride for a trip of that distance.

I have been hit by cars (rear-ended) and down on the road where the end result was a broken ankle ( a different incident). I doubt that anything will take me away from riding except physical disabilities. What these little occurrances teach us is to be more careful. Ya drive like everyone is out to kill you. And they are. LOL BUT DON'T LET THAT STOP YOU!

Take care, take pain killers and if that don’t work, a large measure of alcohol tends to cause one to see the brighter side of things (for a while anyway).

That was a brand new helmet. :(

I had got one with graphics, but now that I have that helmets with graphics are less visible than plain helmets, I guess I will go back to a plain helmet.
