The results of the x-rays show 2 fractured ribs. The few bruises I sustained are starting to fade and I am using far less painkillers now. A double dose of Vitamin "I" now and then seems to work.
(In the hiking club we call ibuprofren vitamin "I".

The bike got towed to the shop via Pirate Enterprises (a local tow and recovery small business). He has a real tow truck fitted with a special skinny ramp to wheel the bike on and them the bike gets secured before he lifts it.
The appraiser had come to my place prior to look at the bike and take some photos and then also went to the shop to go over the bike again with the mechanics (technician?) The parts have been ordered and the bike will probably be ready end of next week.
Sometimes the EI people are so stupid. I went there this morning to file a medical EI claim. They wanted my originals of the doctors notes, but they did not want to give me a photcopy. I told them I needed the forms for my employer. The clerk then pointed to a sign on his desk regarding photocopies....they don't make copies.
I then asked if they had a copier that I could put coins in....nope....so I said I would have to take my originals back to go get copies and then come back later.
I also asked,"how is a person supposed to know this before they get here?"
Of course I did this in my best "I am injured and spacey on pain killers " voice.

"and this is the reason I have a driver today".
He then said, "Good point". He said, "never mind....I'll just make a copy for you."
I thanked him profusely.....in my still weak sounding voice......and left.
After I got out the door, I said to my friend who drove me there, "Did you like my "I'm injured and on meds voice?" My friend said, "Yep, you played him well."
I suggested going for lunch...my treat...since it was good of my friend to come to my place to pick me up, wait for at the EI place, and then take me home.
I called the motorcycle shop to ask them for an estimate on the helmet. They can't find the same helmet listed. So I did a search. The number has been replaced by a new one. It doesn't look like it is even available here.
Maybe I will look for a Scorpion next time. Helmet shopping is almost as difficult as shoe shopping.

I'm not looking forward to it.
