I saw them in a recent ad for less than 10$. Its true. But if you are like me you have no more USB ports to use it in.

Yeah but after using them for a couple of years on a laptop I had (internal wireless kept conking out) I've found that almost all internal ones have better range, don't drop as often, and are more reliable in the long run (external ones tend to die after a year, maybe two, I've found.)

Macbook going strong after a year. Not one wifi issue ever.

Maybe I'll just get wireless laptop. I'll have enough cash next month to get one.

You'll need a wireless router too.

wrider those usb dongles cost like $10 or $15. If you get 2 years out of them you got yer money's worth imho. I myself have never had a problem with one and the last one I bought lasted me 3 years now. then again I dont use it much cause well I have wired network at home lol.

even with the modem you should have a router.... It makes your connection more secure.
