Recently there was a Yamaha Customer Appreciation Event out in Mission BC. It's about an hour from Vancouver.

I posted a few pics from that day as wellas the fellow who was kind enough to come by and give me a ride out on his bike.

The following image is another from that day. It wasn't exactly a track day, but....there were professional racers there to lead riders around the track so that riders could get the feel of being on a track.

This is one of the riders that day.

Hiya KC...I tried again on Monday. I parked it again.

If I knew for certain that I would never have to take evasive action or make a sudden stop or have to make a turn from a stop sign, I'd be ok.

It's the turning of the handlebars that strains the torso still. I can't do anything in my garden yet either except keep it watered.

As for my bike, if I had to make a sudden stop coming out of my driveway, I don't think I could hold it up.
I'll try again next week.

I did go browsing in a couple of bike shops today though. I saw a couple of bikes that really interested me. I'll have to wait on that though until I recoup financially when I ever get back to work.

Sigh.....I used to have so many stories to share. I also enjoyed writing them.

These days I can't spend much time at the computer because of achiness....and I really don't have anything to write about.

I did go to the big motorcycle Cruise-In a couple of weeks ago...in my car.

I still cannot ride.

Anyway....I finally contacted a lawyer today. I can no longer deal with this by myself.

Yep $$$$$ has come into play. I am running out of it. My company wants me to pay back for benefits they have been covering....the insurance company has offered a one time advance on the claim to pay for said benefits...(what if I can't go back to work and I still have no money to pay the next time?)they want me to sign for the "one time advance"...my doctor has had my LTD form for over 2 weeks....I called and it is still not ready. I need to submit it so that I can get disability payments....

I have been doing everything the doctors, etc., have told me....

So-o-o-o, today I got a lawyer. I go to his office on Friday for a more in depth interview. From now on, he can handle the powers that be.

Well....bedtime....I need to get up early for a chirpractor appointment. After numerous visits to a physio and feeling like I was getting nowhere...the doctor said to try a chirpractor. After 3 visits, the tingling in my fingers is going away.

I feel for you, Blues. I know exactly what it's like to look at a motorcycle every day and not be able to ride it. At least in this one small respect, you're not alone.

Keep slogging away at it blues.

Hope they get you feeling better, and here's to the legal eagle bonking those folks over the head. If they don't get it done we'll send shorts over. she'll whup em good.

This all seemed fairly straightforward a few months back, blues- annoying and frustrating but straightforward - a couple of cracked ribs and you were on the mend. So I'm very sorry to hear it has all got very messy and prolonged. Apart from medical complications, $$$$$$ always get in the way with things like this, too.

I was surprised to hear that you were still aching badly with nerve tingles, though! That must have been an awkward fall you had.

But best of luck and glad to hear that the chiropractor is helping.

Who did you retain Blues? I can recommend McNeeney & McNeeney when it comes to doing battle against ICBC. Jim McNeeney is an avid rider and will fight tooth and nail for you. He and his crew took damn good care of me after my accident.

I am retaining Daryl Brown of McQuarrie Hunter. He also is a long time motorcyclist.
I was looking through the yellow pages......there are so many....my friend dr_bar told me he had heard of a fellow at this company so I called.

If I don't feel comfortable after meeting with him, I'll call your guy. However...I talked to Daryl for a while on the phone and I felt ok.
