Hey lil' brother
If you are going to be saving some cash buying the 600 instead of getting another thou how about dropping some serious change on instruction and really learning how to thrash that sucker...
And then telling us all to mind our own goddam business?
You know it makes sense.

keith code's school is around $2000 for a 2 day camp.
yeah, they'll teach me how to ride an RR bike there but by the time im done. i'll have no money to buy a bike of my own.
that route won't work for me.
however, if buy a bike then use
this school instead. it will be more sensible and affordable to me.
EDIT: whoops looks like i misreead your post Kal... yeah, i will get some trackdays eventually and use that school i posted.
other than money, transportation is my biggest problem going to the track.

Well I was thinking more of one on one time with an instructor getting some post licence training and showing you how to get the most from your ride without compromising your safety on the road...
For the record I think it's such a good idea I am hoping to do so with my local riding school near the end of the summer.

Dude you will be fine on the 600, I think you will be suprised at how much better this will be for you. It's funny i have seen people on this forum say there is a huge difference when moving up from a 600 to a 1000 but now that Verm is moving down there is no difference between the 2.

Nobody said there was no difference between the two. Most of the people here said the 600 would be better, because it will let him do the kind of cornering he wants to.

Simply because the guy is a fool.
He has asked every stupid question in the book proving time and again that he has absolutely no knowledge about motorcycles and/or riding and worst of all has ignored every single piece of intelligent advice given to him in favour of looking cool.
I have no problem with people learning to ride because everyone has to start somewhere but his ignorance is utterly mindboggling.
If he wants to be a great rider, good for him but if he could just cut the nonsense he might get a little more respect because talk is cheap.

First off its the internet.
Get over it guys. You can't live other's lives for them. V needs to make his own mistakes to learn anything...I know I had to.
Now, back to the topic...DAYTONA 675!
Looks the best out of all the current sporties IMHO and its got more torque!
And the SV does look good with lower fairing...I used to have one.

i agree the SV w/ full fairings does look good.
but it's a V twin... i don't like V twins. i like inline 4s and the torque problem on the GSX-R will be solved by the TRE. so it's a win win situation for me.

Have you ever ridden a v-twin like the SV?

nope, i just don't like the sound it makes. it sounds kinda like a cruiser bike.
again, it's just personal preference.
