Thanks. The limiting factor is my lack of spare time to work on one, garage space, wifey tollerance etc......
That and there are a lot of cool bikes out there.....

I know how all those things are. I have a 19-month old son and a little girl due here August 7th, along with all those other things. I just recently reduced down from four bikes to the ZRX. It was cool having that stuff but it was really just wasting away so I downsized. I think I'll start buying older stuff...it is half the money and 100% as fun!

I don't have the time to see if anyone told you to check out Buell yet... if not do it!

Anybody know what's up with superhawkforums.com? The site's been down for maintenance for days. Anybody know when it'll be back up?

Not interested in a made-over Harley.

I felt bad for hijacking the guy's thread on V-Twins. But I haven't gone anywhere. High_Side, did you ever get to ride a Triumph Speed Triple? I just got back in from a ride with the guy with the Triple...I rode it about 30 miles in the hills....what a bike! I also rode my buddy's ZX-12R! WHAT A RIDE! That thing is seriously fun! I stopped in at the local Harley dealer yesterday and looked at a used Sportster 1200S (2003). That was pretty cool, but they had the new 883R in stock in the orange color...that's a cool little backroad bike, too...and priced OK in the realm of things. Maybe I can demo one in Myrtle Beach next weekend at Myrtle Beach bike week.... What has everyone else been up to?

I struck out on my chance to ride a speed triple as they were already pre-booked before I found out about the demos...... They look pretty cool but with the complete lack of tail section I can't see a way of effectively mounting saddlebags which is always a concern. The Sprint could still be an option however....
I had a ZX12 out for a rip a few years ago. The thing was a missle but felt kinda top-heavy. I never thought you could have too much power but the ease with which it could lift the front wheel at high speed was scary. Definitely more motor than I can really enjoy. To crank it up to the point that felt like I was riding it was beyond my comfort zone...

Getting back on to topic LOL
I looked at an SV1000 today. I see what they mean about it sounding like its gonna fall apart. I started it up and it had a nice little rumble at idle, revved it a bit and it sounded like it was gonna blow up, the SV650 sounds completely different, more like a 650cc sewing machine with the stock exhaust.
