Slightly (totally) off topic, but am I the only one that thinks the 'Busa is the ugliest damn thing on two wheels? It looks like a friggin' slug...

No, you're not. Thankfully my brother's is two-tone silver. Silver makes almost any vehicle look nice.black mariah wrote:Slightly (totally) off topic, but am I the only one that thinks the 'Busa is the ugliest damn thing on two wheels? It looks like a friggin' slug...

If aerodynamics were the reason for the bulbous monstrosity that is a Hayabusa's plastic, then why don't MotoGP bikes look like that?Andrew78108 wrote:That's the price to pay for aerodynamics. I don't think that people buy them for their looks anyway...

No clue, and I really don't know if that's exactly why the 'busa looks that way. Just a guess. If aerodynamics were the reason for the bulbous monstrosity that is a Hayabusa's plastic, then why don't MotoGP bikes look like that? Laughing
No, you are correct according to Suzuki. But black mariah makes a good point that I never thought of. MotoGP bikes are faster than the Busa and don't look like slugs.Andrew78108 wrote:I really don't know if that's exactly why the 'busa looks that way. Just a guess.
About a year before I bought mine, I didn't even care for sportbikes at all. I didn't like the plastic look. I guess it was a slow progression. I found that I liked spirited riding more than I did poking along holding up traffic, and when I found out what you could get for $10,000 in a sportbike compared to what you could get for the same price in a cruiser, the decision was easy. I do not regret getting it. I like the looks, although the riding is the real joy, not looking at it.Andrew78108 wrote:That's the price to pay for aerodynamics.
