I do suck at the internet 'cause I still don't know what you are talking about! Really though...with all the technology out there, why can't "they" make it simple for "simpletons" like me!!! :frusty:

ah sorry sorry.

url is the "http://www." address.

for example i dug that up at http://static.flickr.com/27/43537284_ee767e7d57_m.jpg

if the picture that you want to include is somewhere on the internet, you can usually right click and copy the image location or else right click and look in file properties for the url.

then you just slap it between the two tags and it will display in the thread.

Almost got it

do you have an account with yahoo photo, photobucket, smugmug, or anything like that?

there's lots of free online photo album sites that will give you the ability to put your photos online and then link to them in boards. i don't think tmw accounts include a personal photo album, but i could be wrong.

Can I post Images?
Images can indeed be shown in your posts. However, there is no facility at present for uploading images directly to this board. Therefore you must link to an image stored on a publicly accessible web server, e.g. http://www.some-unknown-place.net/my-picture.gif. You cannot link to pictures stored on your own PC (unless it is a publicly accessible server) nor to images stored behind authentication mechanisms such as Hotmail or Yahoo mailboxes, password-protected sites, etc. To display the image use either the BBCode [img] tag or appropriate HTML (if allowed).

if you think it's worth your time, i would get a yahoo photo account (free) http://login.yahoo.com/config/login?.sr ... s&.intl=us and put the pictures on there. you can then link them to the board.

OK!!! Hope this works!!!

i had faith in you all along.

that's probably not high on the wish list for thieves, but it's not a bad looking ride either.

I live in Binghamton, which is in upstate NY. Just bought an '06 GSX-R 600 and am paranoid as hell about it getting stolen or vandalized. I used to live in what appeared to be a nice neighborhood there, but had my mail/packages stolen on a daily basis (had to get PO Box, etc). So I waited until I moved to the next town over to buy a scoot.

Luckily I live in a quiet apartment complex now with a carport behind my building. I park my car next to someone's antique covered BMW which never moves... I then roll my bike in and position it between my car and his, and chain it to the pole at the entrance. With the steering wheel lock on, it's impossible to maneuver it out. I also cover it up for that added privacy.

The kids that play around the parking lot know that it's my bike so they would surely tell me or their parents if they saw someone suspicious around it. I also hope to get some sort of alarm system like scorpio in the near future. I just wish LoJack was in my area.

A dog and a gun. But a couple of my buds have invested in a "Scorpion" anti-theft system. About $300. Comes with a 2 way pager that goes off for various "violations" including perimitter and shake. http://www.wingworx.com/index.asp?PageA ... nda%20site
