So here I am in Dartmouth, NS., sitting in another total strangers house posting about my trip. These people are friends of blues2cruise's sister, as blues was supposed to be on this trip the plan was to crash here for a couple of nights to sightsee and rest. My hostesses graciously extended the offer to my solo adventure as well.

The trip here was a simple ride down the toll highway, a grand total of about 50 minutes of riding half the way in a torrential downpour. I stopped for a quick coffee at Timmy Ho's and went to the local bike shop for a new throttlerocker. I guess I forgot to mention that while I was in Saskatoon, someone thought they needed my throttlerocker more than I did...  While at the shop, it started to pour again so I arrived at my destination looking something like a drowned rat, (a really big one   )

Driving Distance: 90.8 kms

Hopefully off to see Peggy's Cove tomorrow, so I guess I better hit the sack...

The next couple of days should be easy and have great sights. I'll be leaving Dartmouth NS on Wed morning and heading south along the coast to Yarmouth where I'll catch the "CAT" to Bar Harbor and from there eventually meet up with Mr & Mrs jstark47 just on the NY/MA border.

Okay, I figured since I had a few moments, I'd post a couple of pictures of the trip so far...

Mount Robson, I believe it's the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, and it's half hidden...

When I arrived at KarateChick's home, I was enthusiasticly greeted by KCjr. She saw that my bike had a sissy bar
on it and the lack of one on the household bikes was the main reason she had never gone for a ride with anyone. It
was a joy to give KCjr her first ride...

Seniors skate, Pirates, and a Joker... All at West Edmonton Mall...

After I outran the storm in Saskatchewan, I looked back and this is what I saw, (it turned out better in my "small" mirror.)

Heading into Sault Ste Marie, I managed to find a beach, trust me when I say it was cold out there. Frost on my
windshield that morning, and if you get a look at the people in the background, they're all bundled up in
blankets and sleeping bags.

Image

Deschambault in Quebec, was a pleasant surprise, it was the location of the shop I ordered my hitch from. I wasn't aware of all the other things they had available...

There's a few more to follow later on...

Mrs. Stark and I headed out yesterday morning, spent 2/3 of the day riding in the rain, and spent the night at Towanda, Pennsylvania.

Today the weather has been great, we've been having a blast running through southern New York, past various of the Finger Lakes. Right now I'm writing this from a state park north of Ithaca were Mrs. Stark managed to find a wi-fi signal (go figure! 8) )

Hopefully we and dr_bar will be converging near Canaan, NY tomorrow afternoon, then mount the Grand Processional To Gummi's House on Friday

I sent blues2cruise an e-mail about 5:30 this afternoon, mentioning the wonderful weather we had today. Evidently this seemingly innocent action Offended The Weather Gods -- less than an hour later the heavens opened up and we rode through a gully-washer.

We saw it coming and put on our rain suits-- it rained so hard it drove in through the fastenings, so everything needs to be dried now. Ah, yes, summer time in the Northeast!

Left the Halifax/Dartmouth area about 10 this morning, took my time and headed down to Yarmouth to catch the 4:00 ferry to Bar Harbour ME. What a great ship, love the cat and would do it again... Even won $20 on the slots...lol

Well today was one of those days when the riding just felt right, and I didn't stop until 1:40am. But with that said, here I am sitting just outside Boston. It's late so this will be a short note...

They will be in Gananoque, Ontario. They should arrive in Gananoque tomorrow afternoon.

They had to change their plans due to some slow downs along the way. The jstarks rode out to meet dr_bar part way.
