As for Hardtails, that's irrelevant as Harley no longer makes them.

The two Harleys you mentioned, certainly do not have high quality suspension. In fact they come with POS shocks, albeit an innovative one on the Softail...

Very questionable on the brakes but I won't argue on that one as I don't have enough saddle time using the brakes hard on cruisers to comment intelligently.

I would call the seats on them a draw.

I agree on the alternators being more powerful on the Harleys.
Seriously, though, both teams played very well. It could easily have gone the other way and in the end the win came down to one goal in sudden death overtime. You can't get much closer of a game than that. Team USA played very well and should be proud of the silver medal.

"they come with POS shocks" UNQUOTE

The first line I quoted is very true, and very much what I was saying.

As far as the second line I quoted, I can't specifically say if that is true or not. HOWEVER, I have no reason to doubt it. The reason why is that I do remember my well experienced and MMI trained friend saying that once you get past the shiny appearance and look very closely, many of the components on the Harley are poorly made. I don't remember specifically which components he mentioned, but the shocks could very well have been part of what he was talking about.

Well, at least your response (or was it the lack of one?) proves that you can't show where I pulled a 180...

No, he just finally realised what the concept of "mud wrestling with a pig" really means.

Oh yea? So much so that he saw the need to discuss this by sending me a PM? :D

You know, I'm not upset with any of you hooligans. All I know is that, although I may have made a few errors in how I worded my thoughts, I do know my intent was to NOT compare apples to oranges, or to do a 180. I was simply trying to make a point about...well, you guys should be able to figure that out. I already said enough...

Ya know, you and I might just be able to get along after all. :)
