It's so cool that you are keeping us up to date! I was thinking we should move this thread to the Blogs section because you are...writing a blog! LOL
I'm glad your house is okay but I hope you and your GF have been able to relax about the whole thing.
Your bike is so awesome!!! I am really quite jealous... It's a bike I would consider owning and I seriously love the colour!

Never, ever leave you helmet hanging from the bar ends like that, it can fall off way too easily crash down onto the pavement and contemporary wisdom dictates that if that happens, you should replace your helmet....best to a: take it with you, inconvenient true but at least no one will steal it; b: sit in on your tank, shield facing back and rear snuggled up to the handle bars; or c: and this the best option, hook and lock it onto your helmet lock.
PS: Looks like we have the same taste in helmets. Does yours come with the pop down sun visor?

The scary thing is that if this was a blog I'd be writing a lot more
It is getting a little long though eh?
oh and my bike thanks you for the compliment! I love the colour. That was probably the first thing that drew me too it and the only other colour was all black, no contest in my opinion.

or, if your bike doesn't have a built-in helmet lock, get and mount an aftermarket helmet lock on your bike. Highly recommended to have a helmet lock.

It does have the helmet lock but (aside from taking a quick pic in the driveway before putting it back in the garage) I have been taking the helmet with me each time. I need to find a good lock for the bike itself though. Without one I won't go out of sight of it or even too far away within view. Lots of things still to buy

ps, I don't think I'm going to keep the helmet on the tank like that, too much of a risk of scratching the paint, but I took those shots for ceemes

that's a nice little ride down by the river, you should pop over to the Ladner side sometime and ride there. Also, the road by the river past Fort Langley is also an excellent little ride. Give me a shout if you ever want to go further afield.
