My rain gear isn't the best, but the price is right... FREE!!! My employer supplies us with uniform and the Gortex works fine for rides that aren't too long. Maybe I'll have to grab some of the vinyl gear for the long rides... BRIGHT YELLOW is my only deterrant, lol.

Hey Blues'

Hair looks fine to me. At least you have some. Mine has migrated from the top of my head to all over my face. What you might call ---- Severe slippage ....... Mind you it lost color when it did that. I think I washed it too much...

Good point, there, old-n-slow.

I wore my long yellow raincoat over top of my yellow motorcycling jacket on Friday.

My sincere apologies to all motorcyclists on Friday. The rain is all my fault.
I washed and polished my bike on Thursday night. I wanted it to look nice for the ferry ride....you never know who might be looking....

It was a nice ride home today, though. And, wow, what a surprise to come home to sunshine and blue sky.

I met a young woman on the ferry who was coming into town for Dad's Day. She has a "pre-skills test" license and she was riding by herself which is a no-no.
So, I rode with her along Marine Drive to North Van....she is supposed to have a licensed rider with her until after her skills test. She has had no lessons and it was evident from riding with her. Anyway, she asked me for a few pointers so I rode behind and observed. She handles her bike well, but, if she were to go for a road test today she would not pass.
Rolling stops, no head turning, that kind of thing.
I think she's planning on going home tonight. That means she will be riding in the dark. I hope she makes it ok.

She also is restricted to speeds under 60 km per hr. But then if she wasn't worried about the experienced rider clause why would she concern herself with the speed limit clause? We have already had too many deaths on Bikes this year and summer has just started.

Be very carefull riding with an inexperienced rider. We have such a fellow in our group and he has already been the cause of two other riders going down (him to) with some broken bones. Amazingly he got off with only some road rash. Why is it that it always seems to work that way?

Anyhow , leave them plenty of space.
