Please, at least tell me you're putting XP on it.
Even better, I'm getting Windows Vista Home Premium. I've been running it in my main PC rig and it is fine. Plus Mac OS X 10.5.2 isn't playing nicely with my programs that were supposed to work with OS X. Besides I have Kaspersky Internet Security. The OS X will be used when using public routers.

Whaddya talking about, Doc. In my day (actually, this is still my day - I'm not dead yet) we made do with a large, black cow-horned telephone with a finger dial to it which sat in our hallway like a fat banker on his moneybags.
In those days, our telephone number had three digits.
And in those days there was no chance of using your phone to annoy fellow passengers in the steam trains we used to travel on. All the soot would probably have fouled up the innards of a mobile phone anyway - had they existed.

Well in my day we did not have the steam trains or the 3 numbers but we did have 5 numbers with party lines and no cell phones. We did have to poke your finger in the whole and swing the dial till your finger hit the stop bar. But in my new days I ride to work with my laptop. Here is a picture to prove it with my laptop in its carrying case at the parking garage at work.

We had an old black phone mounted on the wall. We had more than three digits but probably because we lived in a larger city.
I know what you mean about the phones on the trains or buses or everywhere.....sheesh....Why do they feel the need to be connected 24/7. That's what voice mail is for.
There never used to be answering machines let alone voice mail.

Today I tried to unscrew the screws on the battery so I could take off the previous heated glove wire and install the new heated glove wire.
Well.....The screw of the previous wires are so-o-o-o tight, that I could not get them out.
Now don't get me wrong....I appreciate all the help I can get....but darn it anyway....do those people with musclebound fingers have to do up things so darn tight?
I suspect the motorcycle shop did it when they had the bike in for repair.

I have been running adware/spyware/anti virus programs for 5 or 6 years now and have not had 1 single virus/adware/spyware program installed found on my computer. My wifes computer on the other hand... Damn I have to remove virus's from her computer every other week and somehow she manages to isntall the ones that I have to run the anti virus proggy in safe mode without network support to be able to remove them. Oh and yes I use windblows err windows xp.

I've got the black macbook, and I run Windows XP pro on a hard drive partition. I think it was worth paying over a grand to have both major operating systems on one computer.

Doc came by and helped me with the wires on the bike. I now have the new system for heated gloves. I used them tonight. My hands weren't exactly toasty. They were warmish.....
Shouldn't the gloves get hot inside? If so..how long should it take to get hot?
Yes...I rode my bike this evening to a meeting and then rode home in the dark.
I am starting to feel a bit of confidence return.
Doc and I went for a bit of a ride today. It was so-o-o-o-o-o warm and sunny.
Here I am behind Doc's new bike.
