Spidi!!!

#71 Unread post by wrecks »

I got my Spidi's in. They're better than I expected. Good fit, well made, look great, adequate protection, and fit true to size. The only cons I have is the metal toe slider because some tracks do not allow those but Its replaceable so I can get a different one. The other is the vents do not close. Other than that I would highly recommend these boots for the the twisties or the track.

Beautiful Last Sunday

#73 Unread post by wrecks »

It was a great day for riding Sunday. I took Reg out to the twisties so she could practice on her Ninja. She seems to be getting better and a bit more comfortable mentally after her two crashes. Anyway, still a fantastic day out.

For lunch we went to this Fish & Chips place in Sausalito. It was so-so. Nothing to write home about. It looks better than it was.

California Supermoto School

Peg dragging time!!! :dirtbike:

I attended the California Supermoto School with my bro. We had a blast!!! I learned a lot by going. It was totally worth it!!! I even got to experience a tricked out DRZ 400sm on the track too. That was a lot of fun because I have a DRZ too and I wondered how a DRZ would do on the track. The largest thing I took from that school was probably body positioning from hands/shoulders to where the legs and feet go. After getting some of that stuff squared away I went a hell of a lot faster on the track. Supermoto is totally different from sportbike riding thats for sure.

That is awesome. I'll probably never get track time... Or drag a peg. If I did drag a peg it would probably scare the daylights out of me.

Dragging the pegs aren't as bad as I thought. You just have to mentally prepare for it. Once it happens you wont even know it. Supermoto track days are inexpensive for the most part.

In The Rear With The Gear!

Ogio Tail Bag

I got in a new tail bag for my CBR. I was growing tired of not having enough space in my tail section of my bike for extra stuff I carry with me on short riders. I ended up getting a Ogio Rear Tail bag. I highly recommend this bag if you want something in the small to medium range that fits/straps on the tail (rear seat) of your motorcycle. It's perfect for short rides for carrying maps, water, toll fast passes, keys, sandwich & a drink. :D

I also ended up getting a rear fender too. The stock fender for the CBR can't protect from anything. At least the new fender from "Hot Bodies" I got will be able to protect the underside of my tail better than the stock fender.

That would scare the hell out of me. Funny how I was wondering on the way home today if I could do the worlds smallest stoppie just to see if I could do it.
