I'd even let you take 'er for a ride... knowing all about your pink bike fetish you'd probably love it...

I'd have no trouble putting some gentle "break in miles" on it for you

However I will draw the line at wearing the matching suit

Oh, Bruce, like we don't know what you have in your
closet.. ;)
Well it's about damned time you got out of there! How is the Mrs. taking it???
I'm quite fine, I was expecting it all along. It was when I found the pink suit in YOUR closet that I was concerned!

To gently nudge this thread back on track.......... ahem
1998-99 Triumph Thunderbird Sport, in yellow & black. Specifically those two years, when they had the stacked pipes on the right side. Not exactly unobtanium, used ones are still around, and not exactly logical either, standards for handling, braking, etc, have moved on. I just like the way they look.

And now to resurrect a somewhat old thread....
So guess what I saw today?!?!?! A listing for MY old Honda CB400T! I can buy my old baby back! And yes, the one in the listing was actually mine....

For $1,000 I might just buy it. That's even $1,000 CDN so it'd be one heck of a deal. Now if only I knew someone that could bring it to Tucson or hold onto it until I can figure out how to sneak it across the border....

I KNOW!!! $1000 is a steal! This morning it said $1200 so I guess he's dropped the price. I'm telling you, if I still lived there I would have a REAL hard time saying no to it!!!
You do realise I'd be really jealous if you bought it. But I could forgive you if you sent me the odd photo of her and let me take her for a spin if I'm ever in your neighbourhood!

Funny you should mention....I offered to let Mike take the Hammer out if he was ever in this area. I'm guessing if I had your old bike that'd go a long ways towards helping to convince him to stop by.

I've got a deal for you then!
1. you buy the CB400T, bring it home and enjoy it for the summer. Heck, ride it until next spring.
2. Mike & I move back to Calgary. We fly to yours and then ride the Hammer and CB back to Calgary.

Sadly, the unobtainium that I am truly trusting for is not a bike I've owned in the past such as my old fuel injected GPz, nor even a Vincent, but rather its a Triumph ST or GT Sprint. The reason it is unobtainium is purely financial. First I have to get my own finances back in order after having two jobs in two years go south on me (yeah, I am working again thankfully, but the damage was done), two I suppose to be getting married this year and three, I still have to get our house in Leyte Province in the Philippines finished....oddly enough, that is the cheapest of the jobs to be done.
So, for the time being I will continue to ride and nurse Connie along and secretly lust after the Triumph.
