Well I got lucky, the Mrs. said "I ain't riding on the back of your's. I'm getting my own!" Solo is the only way for me. I have had a couple of passengers on the back a few times and it's not terrible. But I don't like having to compensate for the changes in weight, center of gravity and what not. As a matter of fact I think the next thing I'm going to do to my bike is get a solo seat.

I prefer to ride solo. I do my best thinking that way. I've only had a passenger once - my mom. She was a good passenger, but it's something I would only do once in a great while as a treat for the passenger. Now... when the kids are old enough (whenever that is), I will take them as much as possible. Just can't tell yet when that will happen.

Cheers,
Loonette

I don't mind carrying a passenger.

My first bike when I was a kid was a 100cc Honda. I lived on a farm and once I learned to ride it, my friends came over and of course wanted to ride too. Had a lot of fun. After I got older and got my license, I usually carried an extra helmet with me. I ride solo most of the time, but don't object to passengers.

The lady in my house rode with me for the first summer and on the second summer she had her own bike. She rides hers as much or more than I ride mine.

The wife does not ride so all my riding is solo. Wish I could talk her into riding as we both like to travel, and I tell her she is missing a lot.

This is my bike. Get your own.

Seriously, though, I don't know anyone who both wants a ride and weighs less than I do. I still have my passenger seat somewhere, just in case.

I've never had a passenger...I've been a passenger a few times...wifey isn't too interested, I'm trying to get her to buy a scooter so that she can ride and come along (doesn't want to learn how to use a clutch) But my daughter is itching to go for a ride, just have to get wifey to agree...I'm pretty sure my crash at the end of the season last year really helped that cause...

I'd say it depends on who the passenger is...if it is someone you like being close to, you won't have any objections to it...other than that you'd probably prefer to ride solo...

Later.
