Blues
What can I say? This is such a run of bad luck!
But I'm glad to hear you sounding reasonably cheerful about it. Hope you are as feeling as cheerful as you sound.
Mend quickly, friend.
I didn't want to sound off about your rehab programme. Shorts commented wisely and I left it at that. But now this has happened I think you should really question the value of this kind of stuff for the future. Medical science is very imperfect. Trust your body, not the trainer.
Speaking with my (ex-)professional hat on, I have considerable doubts about almost any kind of 'vigorous' rehab treatment or workout programe whether it is physiotherapy or chiropractic or aerobics or whatever. I have listened to too many unhappy stories at the clinic where I used to work. And any programme that is going to cause inflammation of the joints (and possible damage to tendons and ligaments) is just ham-fisted and irresponsible in my view.
A healing body needs to be treated thoughtfully and with care.
Engaging in dangerous or extreme-sports is a valid choice for us to make. We know the risks and we accept them. But programmes that are designed to improve your health should do just that and not compromise it instead.
If you are going to go on like this, I'll definitely have to come over to Canada and give you a course of treatment, blues! Can't have you damaging yourself and then sitting round going mouldy, now can we?
Take care - go step by step - accept the need of the moment - and mend!
lots of hugs
Richard

Errr.......... Dr. Wolf, I presume? Exactly what would this course of "treatment" consist of, eh??
(....you don't want to know what Mrs. Stark suggested.....)

Sigh......
Being serious for a minute...... damn it, Blues. That's just amazingly bad luck. Keep your spirits up.

Probably the same treatment dr_bar suggested that she seek, a nice young fit...

Well...I was sitting outside having a cup of coffee and maybe feeling a little woe is me....but after reading the posts in my blog, I feel quite a lot better. You guys made me chuckle. Thank you for that.
I'll go get an ice pack now to keep the inflammation down and then I'm going for a walk. A book I ordered at the library is in, so I'll go and get it.
Later I'll work on some pictures.

Well it certainly has nothing to do with 30 ft poles, that's for sure, Mr Stark (should anyone be so lucky!)
And as for Mrs Stark, give her my best wishes and tell her that I think her husband is probably a very lucky man.
(Excuse me for borrowing your blog space, for one moment, blues. But this has to be said.)

I don't mind the occasional or sometimes frequent hijack.

MZ,
I love the art work, it does take the need for words that we cannot say on TV out of the scheme.
Blues,
Man hang in there, sorry your having such a hard time and I agree with MZ, we should buzz the place, heck just take our pipes off all together and start'em up in front.

I have now uploaded the bike wash photos to my photobucket album. Unfortunately due to my rib injury, I can't sit here at the computer very long at a time, so I didn't do my usual editing. The pictures are in no particular order.

You can click on "slideshow" in the upper right and it will scroll through.....you can choose slow medium or fast...you can pause if you want to look at something more closely or longingly..oops..er..I mean longer.
Or you can just look at the small images and click on only the ones you want to see bigger.
Hmmm...I forgot to find out how much money they raised for the Cancer Society.
