Hello everyone. Thanks for the add

Been riding about 50 years... I am 62. I started back when every bike but a Harley shifted on the right and braked on the left... but thankfully, that was standardized. Created some confusion LOL (but it wasn't humorous at the time). In those days the 'dream' bikes were the Vincent Black Shadow.. spoken about in hushed tones of respect and awe.. and the Norton Dunstall. Marlon Brando was the leader of a biker gang in a movie called "The Wild One"... black and white, of course. The Hell's Angels made the news every once and awhile and we could go to the county fair and watch the bikers ride the 'wall of death' riding around the inside a big outdoor 'drum'.. and no muffs on the bikes... pure excitement at every moment. I never asked myself if I was a biker; I just knew it. My folks didn't want me to have a bike, but, like all of you I rode my friends bikes and just waited for my independence. So, at the age of 20, I bought my first house and my first 'big' bike; a Norton 850 Commando. Damn it was ....
fast.!!
So today I ride a 2000 Big Dog Bulldog custom (made in Kansas and all parts 100% made in the USA) with a S&S 107ci and 5 speed Andrews with about 120hp. Yes, even the thought of it makes me smile
Right now it is being re-built from the frame up... and I can hardly wait to ride again... just like the first time.

Welcome Budman to the TMW motorcycle community... but you should post this in our garage forums as this thread is just for new introductions.
