NO... sorry.... I am not convinced
Still better than getting run over.
I have hit my fair share of cars and have never been run over as cars tend to stop when you plow into them at speed.
I know for a
fact that I would rather hit a car than a rock wall.

I really don't have much of an opinion on what you do, Silentx. However, I ususally get a good chuckle out of your squidly tendancies, so the following inaccuracy stuck out to me. You said:

According to this thread, you wrecked your 250 sometime before November 26th. And
over here, you celebrated your new 250's purchase, on or about October 14th. You do the math.
Again dude, do what you want, but realize you only had that bike about a month. And in that month you managed to wreck what is considered to be one of the most forgiving and noobie friendly bikes made.

I think you are right.
By the way ninja 250 is not the " most forgiving and noobie friendly bikes made" It is a very powerfull bike

Yes, it is. Do you still want something with four times the horsepower? In my opinion, there are no forgiving bikes. It's the nature of riding a motorcycle, you MUST be in full control of the bike. The second you don't, the bike controls you.

Heck, the only time I ever injured my body was on a dirt bike in the 100cc area I think. Throttle got stuck open, I was in third gear and I was very new to riding. The bike was really old and the kill switch was a rusty, old button. Trying to push that button in was a chore in its own right. So I kept from using the clutch because I didn't wanna blow up my friends engine hahahaha. Eventually ran over some cables semi-covered in alot of sand... but I wasn't paying enough attention to notice them until after the accident.
I went over the handlebars, and somehow the bike released itself and landed infront of me... I recovered and started running on my feet trying to slow down... but ended up getting my leg kinda caught between the mud guard and the spinning tire. Grinded a hole right below my knee... now I just have a scar. Thats when I got the strength to push that stupid kill switch button.
THe fun part was when I got to push the bike miles and miles out of the desert, and more miles down a two lane road in the middle of the new mexican desert in the summer time. With trucks and cars whizzing by me at 50+ mph. Ah... highschool was so much fun.

What did it feel like? how fast were u going ?
Ive seen MOTOGP ppl just slide on the pavement and it probably hurts.
ive had some HARD crashes on my bike (mountain) like trying to clear a 25 x 10 (pretty large in mountain bike terms) foot road (across) going 25-35 mph and landing straight on my feet on the pavement.
the worst pain ive ever felt was probably when I was trying to clear a big dirt jump, about 18 feet across, needing atleast 25 mph.
Looks like this, at my friends ranch in Canada (this isnt me btw)
I was going about 30 mph, overshot the threshold of the landing by about 10-13 feet because I jumped straight forward not straight up, the jump launched me forward and I only got about 4-5 feet above the jump and the rest of my speed went straight forward..(ppl should get about 8-12 feet on this one. I sprained my ankle and got scarred all over my body.. ( wasnt cool)
anyways I landed at the bottom of the 13 foot high landing going about 30 mph. thats 4-5 feet above the landing + 13 feet of landing = 17-18 feet total going 30 mph.
In both situations, I fell right to my knees then on to my side and slide a few feet and come to a bloody halt. I had jeans, a full face, and gloves. I dont really remember me falling, just the horrendous pain

Hrm, I dont know how fast I was going... since it was a dirt bike with no speedo. I was in the high rpm's in third gear, just pushing on the rear brake trying to keep the bike from getting into the over rev (my friend never took care of that bike, the rear brake was useless at best). It was 7-9 years ago so I can't remember how fast I could estimate the speed.
I did slide for a long while before digging my feet in to bounce me off the ground and into the air and luckly landed on my feet running at full speed. It was still to fast for me to keep my balance and feet running quickly enough and I fell into the bike. Didn't have the balance or ability to jump over the bike or even turn out of the way to avoid it since I was running over my top speed. The wheel and mudguard did stop me though!
Kinda like people who find themselves retelling their story from falling off some heights. Thank goodness the ground broke my fall.

I totally agree, I lost it on a 11bhp 125cc machine thats even more forgiving than the 250 Ninja
There are no forgiving bikes, but some are more forgiving than others.
