Inline 4 or V-4?
That's a real tough one.... :humm:

I just loved the sound and the engine characteristics of the V-4 in my '98 VFR800FI. But I love the sound of a Honda inline-4 in my CBR as well. In the end, I'll have to go with the inline-4 as the extra complexity of the V4 to me is not worth the upside.

The better sounding parallel twin.... :uk:
clicky on the linky if you dont know what they sound like.

The Norton? :

or

The Triumph?

Well even tho I am a Triumph Girl this time The sound of a Norton wins hands down. :uk:

When I was about 17 & still living at home, I arrived after night out a girlfriend's on the back of a mate's Norton Commando. I made him go right around the cul de sac with all the neighbours out washing their cars!

Dad was in a quandary cos I knew he wanted to come out & look at the bike but he wouldn't acknowledge his little girl had stayed out!

The Norton always sounded tighter, deeper, and meaner. The Triumph always sounded sleazier, looser, and cruder. At redline I always thought the Triumph sounded like it was going to blow up. That being said, this always gave the Triumph exhaust note a little more character. The general consensus seems to lean however to the Norton because its has the quintessential exhaust note of a bad @ss twin. In terms of look, there's no question. The Bonnies were far more beautiful than the clunky looking Commandos.

At first I was wondering why your neighbors were washing their cars in the middle of the night... :dontgetit:
Then I realized you had been partying all night and just came home the next day.

If I was him, I woulda came out to check out the bike then smack the kid afterwards for keeping my girl out all night. :whupass:

A few years ago, I woulda said F1 but F1 is getting kinda boring so I'll say drag racing.

Hickory bacon - I'll leave the sweetness to the syrup that goes with the pancakes on the plate with the bacon! ;)

Whether you're giving or receiving... do you prefer:
Roses
or
Carnations

I don't think devour is the word I'd use (a pint lasts me a few weeks) but it'd be the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup for sure.

Fists in the wind?

Protected by fairing?

Fists in the wind. There is nothing like the feel of freedom on a naked bike or cruiser with no fairing or windshield. It does take some time to get used to the wind rush and your neck muscles will get stronger over the season too. :D

Metric

or

Imperial

Imperial measurements are such a sad state of affairs and clinging to a poor system shows how backwards entire industries and countries can be... slow to change. The Imperial system has forced other industries to created alternate measuring methods because of it's inabilities to work well in an evolving world. It shows how measuring with the wrong side of your brain can have strengths in (the short term) focused uses but is insufficient for long-term (and larger) purposes unless translated to more rational methods.

Metric measurements win hands downs for so many obvious reasons... for quick reference: notation, simplicity, sensibility, ability to extrapolate data more intuitively and to cover many more uses.
