I did something very squidly.

I rode in a pair of shorts. (A skort actually).....

Once was enough. I was in Osoyoos last weekend. It was very, very, very hot....we decided to ride in to town from the campsite to go get ice cream.
I put on my jacket, boots, gloves and helmet....and wore shorts...it felt great but at the same time I was so conscious of hot pipes, bare legs and hard pavement......we got our ice cream....oh it was so good. and then rode back to the campsite.

Had to do something similar this summer. Moved into a new place. Had everything packed up, half in one place half in another. That day I had to move the bike. Got to the old place and realized the helmet, jacket, boots were in the new place. Glad it was only 5 or 6 blocks with a short sleave t-shirt, shorts and shoes with no helmet.

Wost part was passing someone I told that I never ride that way. I some splaining to do.

I saw this truck with a motorcycle loaded into it. Usually bikes are loaded in front to back, but this was loaded in sideways.
It was such a novelty I had to take a closer look. The owner was not around for me to ask about the loading system.
I'd guess the owner is a very good metal fabricator or had this custom made.





This is what the front wheel was secured in. It has wheels on it.
There is a trough where the wheels roll in and out.
I could not figure out just by looking at it how the bike
gets moved up into the truck.

I'll bet he has a 5th wheel he hauls and wanted to keep his HD off of the back of the trailer. Whatever his reason that's an awesome system!

He does have a fifth wheeler. In the back of the pick up is the thingy that a trailer would attach to. (I suddenly can't remember what that is called.)
