i just couldn't stand it when i found it was a limiter that causes my bike to have unsmooth FI in the lower gears and rpm.
so you dont know how to lube a chain, yet you're qualified to determine if the lower gears on your bike should or should not be mentally challenged ( by the factory mind you) because you read it on the internet?
I really bite my tongue every time I read one of your threads, but I'm sorry, this is just getting rediculous. You are seriously an accident waiting to happen on so many levels. I really hope you buck the odds...

At ten pages it's probably about 'Time' on this thread.
Verm wants to unleash the power hidden from him and now he's got the unit there isnt a force short of Divine Intervention that will stop him getting it fitted.
I suggest the rest of us watch, wince and think good thoughts for the wellbeing of our little brother.

jeez, it's just a simple mod guys.
you make it sound like my bike will be 200hp or something.
and like i said, i will take my time to get used to it. im not gonna hit canyons until im comfortable w/ the TRE already.
Just because you haven't lost power yet, doesn't mean you won't, you haven't been riding very long have you? Anywho, I don't really care what you do to your bike, but it sounds like you just like modifying your bike, which I completely understand, because I love working on things, and modifying them, including my bike. But try doing mods that don't affect power, but other things, like installing better headlights, LED tail lights or turn signals, etc. There is a lot of things you can do to a bike, without giving yourself too much power. Most of the time people want to add power, because they want to go faster, which usually means their bike isn't very fast. But your bike is extremely fast, so what the point in adding more power. Plus, why is it such a big deal if the shifting isn't seamlessly smooth? I'm sure if it was a big deal, then your bike wouldn't be as popular as it is. Oh, and try working on the bike yourself, instead of having a mechanic do every littlee thing, it's actually really fun. Anyway, I'm not trying to yell at you or anything, just figured I'd say a few things.

accident waiting to happen?
that's what they said to me before... they said i'll lose control of the bike's power and guess what? i didn't lose control of its power.
i wouldn't do this if im already having trouble controlling my bike's power.
anyway like i said before... i'll treat my bike as if i was riding a new bike for the 1st time.
i didnt say you'd loose control of the bikes power (although you obviously lost control of something when you dropped it), I just said you're an accident waiting to happen. I actually started to post the numerous reasons why I think that, but I deleted it all because I know it will just fall on deaf ears.

yeah, i have done mods that doesn't affect power.
like my frame sliders, windscreen and fender eliminator, reverse shift pattern... i'll also add reflective rimstripes.
anyway... i know how to install the TRE, it's very simple but i wanna show it to my mechanic 1st since he wants to see how the new one works. he only knows how to make the older version of the TRE.
if was really into adding power... i'd buy a full sys exhaust and re-map my FI w/ a PCIII... again, i don't think im ready for those yet.

yeah i did lose control of the bike when i hit loose gravel in a downhill decreasing radius turn while practicing cornering lines.
not a hard mistake to make. im sure many riders have messed up on those kind of turns before.
again, im not gonna do this if im already having trouble regarding how much power i want to use on my bike.
Smooth shifting comes from lots of practice. If you don't have smooth shifting it is probably because you need a little more finesse in your shifting style.
