now that looks like a good practical car. The price seems slightly high, but that might be normal for your area. I'd offer him 2000 and when he comes down to 2200 take it.
I had a mitsu eclipse for 5 years and it was a great car, never needed anything but gas and oil.

Unless you like getting pulled over by police never buy a red car. I had a red car once and I'll never buy another one.
Red is ok for bikes.

i didn't like the mitsu mirage but i saw another car at another dealer.
i have a car again.
it's a '94 Mazda MX6, 2.5 liter V6, black, 113K miles, clear title.
$4500 OTD. a little over priced but it's ok.

That is a lot of miles. Mazdas are good cars but be warned that parts are expensive and looking at the age and year of that car you'll naturally have some repairs to do as an owner. I don't know why but mazda parts are just way overpriced. If it were me I'd look into a used honda civic or toyota corolla which are moderately priced, very reliable and part replacement costs are reasonable.
One other thing to mention that isn't really important but just from a style point of view, the mx6 is a feminine looking "sports" car. The body shape and lines are screaming effeminate car. That is just my opinion though, and what is really important here for you is reliability and cost, but I don't see that mx-6 having that in this case either. Good luck in your car buying process.
