I'm trying. I may not be the artsy type. I do think one or two of mine are artsy.

I don't mean yours, I mean in general, we're all doing it, because those are the only ones that Zoo deems as artsy.
I really like the first one of all the bikes, and the first one of your old bike in front of the power plant.

Art is always open to individual taste and interpretation. However, as I mentioned earlier, if the pic isn't calendar-worthy it probably isn't artistic. Even the pics I posted in the first post don't really cut the mustard. Loonette has the right idea and her pic is absolutely brilliant. Chances are nobody here has a pic in their collection that would even qualify, so the idea is to get out there and find a unique setting or camera angle or whatever and make it happen.
*HINT* - make sure both the background AND the bike can stand alone as a picture and you'll be nearly assured of a winner

Haha, pics I have taken have been published in commercially produced motorcycle calenders for 4 years running now.
Then again, most bike calenders are either action racing shots, or still shots of custom harleys. Playing to the uneducated bike market.

It is, as I originally theorized, a subjective situation. Meaning, each person sees art from their own perspective. But if you are talking composition, lighting, contrast, sharpness, creativity, and the like, it is open to what is pleasing to your optic nerves - I suppose. I thought the sunflowers with the Mean Streak was genius as well.

As far as I'm concerned, as long as it isn't parked in the driveway, and has something interesting in the background (and the bike is big enough to see), with nothing interfearing (idiot with his head in the shot) then it's a good picture.
