I'm assuming you went with the nightster, judging by your other preferences?

It's not wrong to assume that considering the "look" of the other two bikes I had in mind, but no, I got the Custom. It had the bigger tank and stock forward mounted controls. Plus, I just liked the looks of it.

The Nightster is a good looking bike though.

Yea dude...the Nightster is pretty sweet...i'm not a fan of the peanut tank and it only holds 3.3 gallons.

However, if i had a garage and the money, I would buy an XR....i'm in love with that bike

Hello I am Burt and have been riding since 1977. I am 50 years old from NYC and am currently looking to purchase a new 2010 Electraglide to replace my 03 that was just wrecked on May 15..I have owned 5 Harleys over the years in addition to 2 Hondas way back when..came across the site while recovering from my wreck.. I will be up and runnning again soon and cant wait to get back on the road. Thanks for having me here.

Thought I'd pull up a spot and make myself comfy...I brought home my first Harley a week ago. After test riding a whole bunch of bikes, I feel in love with a 2007 Road King. Yup, I'm jumping from a Suzuki S40 to a Road King I have a few mods to make as I am, well, inseam challenged, but that's part of the fun for me.

And Gummi...I did look long and hard at the Road Glide, but I just couldn't see enough over the fairing.

Sunshine, I don't care what you ride - just as long as you ride.

But congrats on the new bike! The Road King gives the best compromise between touring and pure eye candy, IMO. As for the Road Glide, it's definitely not everyone's cup of tea, but that's one of the things I like about it.

Besides SCGurl, you got the best one out there.

Thanks-I prolly would have gone with the Road Glide (it was purrrty-black with a white stripe and a coral-patterned-pinkish looking stripe) had I been, oh, 4 inches taller. But I had been eying this one as well-the black cherry paint pops very nicely in the sunlight, and I really like the fact that I can pop off the windshield for the 4-mile hop to the beach.

I"ve been riding since I was 16. I'm now 26 . Most of my bikes were restored or customized Harleys. I presently own a Buell S3 and fully customized late model Sportster. So many of my family are riders that I sort of fell in with bad company.

I just wondered how your husband feels about riding a touring bike while you ride something more sporting. My boyfriend decide to get Harley and he sort of got an Electra Glide so we both could ride together. However, as much as I like riding on the pillion, I really would like to ride something I control.

Also how does it feel to ride the Sportster C. Im loving it. However, does your possible lack of upper body or general strength affect the way you ride. I sort of find the Sporster is a bit top heavy. I'm use to it by now but I want either a Street Bob or a Low Rider and afraid that it might be too heavy to control in small spaces.

Just wondering how you liked your Street Bob? I'm thiinking of going whole "Hawg" and getting either a Street Bob or a Low Rider. I've not test driven either but I kive sitting in them. They feel some how just right.
