Don't worry about riding too slow for them, if you're in the back of the pack - and they ride too fast for you that's BadJuju(tm). Don't go riding that gixxer off a cliff trying to hang w/ more experienced riders on a ride - lead at a pace you're comfortable with. Chances are the other guys won't mind if it's slower than their usual pace.
nah, i rode w/ a bunch of guys who are more experienced than me. but that should be obvious since im still a new rider.

anyway... i always tell them to just wait for me before changing roads in case i can't hang w/ them. if i can't hang w/ them... i don't try to, i just go my own pace.

I'd say keep it the same as braking on ice. Nice, smooth even use of both brakes. Applying rear first for a 50-50 ratio.

Two things Verm. For the time being concentrate on riding 'normal' and go do a trackday to get it out of your system.

only time will tell how my street riding will be affected after getting a trackday. it could go either way.

but defintely a good advice...

there's a PLP (parking lot practice) which involves racing form and kneedragging but i missed it bec i took care of my car.

but they will do it again and i intend to make the next one... that should also help to "get it out of my system"

...maybe
