'96 Honda CB500 - 105mph (3am on an empty dual carriageway)
Owned by a friend so I'm not sure exactly how much more it has in it and anything 30 or more over the speedlimit is an instant licence loss.

Recently, the TW200 with the new sprockets touched an indicated 80mph down hill with a tailwind. According to the little radar thingie on the side of the road, 45 indicated is actually 44mph. That's on knobbies on pavement, on an interstate with a 70mph speed limit.
In the olden days when I had a death wish:
172 down the stretch at Daytona on a Rickman/Yoshimura/RC Engineering Honda K4 836cc open roadracer.
Took another 836cc stroker (CB750K3 engine) with a Yoshimura head and close ratio trans on nitromethane and alcohol, stuck it in a custom frame with a streamliner body, and trailered it to Bonneville. 238mph 2-way average. Missed the record by about 6mph. I've heard today's streamliners are over 100mph faster. WOW!
Ran Barstow-to-Vegas on a modified XR750 Harley. Helicopter cameraman timed 28.3 seconds between two landmarks exactly 1 mile apart.
162mph in a 40-foot unlimited class 3-point hydro prototype powered by 4 Kieth Black hemis. The owner died shortly after the first test runs and the boat was destroyed to protect the estate from liability issues.
221mph one way (upwind) in a C/MMP Chevy S10 AWD at Bonneville against a 218 record. Broke the trans on the return run. Don't count your chickens before they hatch.
Fastest speed ever: 1350mph (Mach 2.0) in the Concorde SST wil taking a nap somewhere over the Atlantic Ocean.

I don't mean to put all you sissies down or anything, but what I was clocking in is dangerous to the time space continuum. We are talking about warping to the speed of light and being at two places at once, tragically destroying the universe as we know it.
(Who knows what year) MSF Rebel- Some eye watering 20 MPH

Well I can't actually say it was 20 because the speedometer didn't work. But man was I flying...

1981 cb400t - 80mph headwind, no room on the freeway to keep going.
Broke the tack doing it.
Top speed - 110 (speedo says 85 though)

On a closed road:
125mph on the ducati
On not so closed roads, but long straights with no cars and high visibility:
VF700F - 115mph
VFR750 - 100mph
All of those bikes go much faster than that... I just have never had the urge to do a top end test.

Fastest I've gone on a road is 125mph. Also had the speedohealer on too, so I could know exactly how fast I was going.
