I suppose if there were enough people to do the work. There was only two of us able to do all the work required. This is nothing, during a deployment, we worked 18 hours a day for 30-40 days straight. Then had a weekend in port then right back again. It all depends on the opperational commentments and manning. you get used to it after a while.

I suppose if you're living on board and have only a 3 minute commute it's not so bad.

I picked up the August issue of CycleWorld. All I have to say is "fudge" you harley, and bring the XR1200 to America. And I don't see the big deal about the new vmax.

Today I learned that fruit flies spontaneously generate. Now I understand why fruit flies appear out of nowhere.

And it's 658 lbs... dry. That's 140 lbs more than it's "rival", the b-king (518 lbs dry, according to suzuki's site). I think the choice is obvious. The b-king even looks better next to the vmax. it's also about $5k cheaper.

Oh yeah, Indian's back. Again.

Yeah, up to $35K for a dressed-up Harley clone with funny fenders. Meh. If I was into that kind of bike I'd take the Harley for $16-18K, and get a proven engine and an extensive dealer network in the bargain.

Wowee! Bravo.

How long was the hike?

I'm looking forward to when I can go hiking again.
